Hyannis port Figawi 2023 was just recently created while I staked out a prime location on the Hyannis port shoreline. I set up my camera and tripod while sitting on a portable chair. I arrived just before the race officially started and waited for the entourage of sailing ships to approach this area. The weather was mild for May and plenty of sun and wind for the sailors. I captured over 100 images as they sailed by. I loved the colors in the sky and the white caps on the Cape Cod Ocean. My editing techniques are secret, but I used layers of oil and watercolors and created a color pallet with pastel hues, rich with intensity. I feel I captured the perfect moment when the lighting and the ships positions had a great composition. This image is one my personal favorites and I recommend a minimum size of 20x30 to do this image justice. I have on my wall and print it on metallic paper for maximum color saturation. A canvas print will also give this image a painted feel
